Thanksgiving!

Well, again we enjoyed another holiday with the family. A very busy but fun filled weekend! On Thanksgiving Day we ate dinner at Mom's then on Friday we left for Virginia. After the long drive thru the mountains, we finally arrived in Hurley, VA. We had a wonderful visit. The boys and grandparents loved it! While we were there the boys got to see Mamaw Hurley's Christmas village (which is huge), they especially loved the new train track Papaw and Mamaw just added on. Clara's Village consist of approximately 250 houses, 500+ trees and 500+ accessories. WOW!!!!

The boys also enjoyed the "jumpoline", that is what Riley called the trampoline. Hayden was scared of it at first but Riley loved it. The boys were just exhausted from all the excitement, but can't wait to do it again.

Family Gatherings!

As most of you guys know, I lost my grandmother this past weekend. We were all very close to her and loved her dearly and we are glad that she has went on to a much better place. Granted, it has been very difficult for us but we have to look to the brighter side of things. It seems like the only time that you get the WHOLE family together is for funeral, sad to say but it is true! So we all enjoyed the time that we shared. Of course we try to laugh and goof of, to make the situation a little easier to deal with so, of course I have my camera handy to snap the shot.

Tyler is pimping in Craig's black hat. Isn't he a stud!

Look at that crazy eyeball in the background.

My family just LOVES Shara, can't you tell...lol

Those were all taken the night that we got home from receiving friends.....

These next couple are taken when we got home from the burial :(

Look at my handsome lil boy telling me which way to go.....

Hayden loves to fight! Momma and her lil man
Mrs. and Mr. Hurley!
The next several picture just explain the fact that I have farmers in training......

I am so proud of these lil guys!

So we turned a sad situation into a happy moment. We were lucky enough that Craig was able to take the whole day off, (for Craig this is almost impossible) and enjoy some little memory that he misses out on a daily basis.

My grandmother would have been 96, on December 9. She lived a long and wonderful life and now she is in better place, she doesn't have to suffer any longer. Just remember Mamaw that we love you, even those lil curly headed boys and we will see you one day. Love You!!!!!!!

Halloween 2007

TOOT! TOOT!

Well last night was another memorable moment in the Hurley house! Riley is really into Thomas the Train so when we went to purchase their Halloween costumes, he insisted on the Thomas costume. Well that was simple, so now we just have to decide on Hayden's costume. So to make things easy and cute I decided to dress him as James the Train. So we had Thomas and James! So Halloween morning rolls around, on the way to Mom's house I ask the boys if they were ready for trick-or-treating. Riley precedes to tell me NO and Hayden could care less, he was just wanting to go to Nana's. So later that evening I called Mom from work and ask her if the boys had mentioned trick-or-treating.......Riley had chanced his mind (with a little help from Uncle Lu). So I left work and came home, needless to say, Hayden was asleep! Of course, he always takes his naps about 1 or 2 NOT 4:30. So we wait for him to wake up, because if we wake him up then he will be a lil' demon instead of James. Around 5:45 he arouses, not full speed ahead but atleast he is awake. On to the hard part...dressing them! Riley put his costume on with no problem, which is a miracle. Hayden on the other hand was a huge problem. Then we finally decided to give him some candy and that actually help keep the costume on to snap a few photos.

Well, Riley didn't exactly want Becca to pick him up, can't you tell! Look at that face! Wondering what he is thinking, or do we want to know!

Then we go to leave and we can't find Hayden's hat. While we are inside looking for it Hayden and Riley decide to go play in the yard. Until the battery died! Hayden is really enjoying the ride..LOL!
Well we are finally off! First stop, Uncle R.C.'s house. Hayden is actually starting to like the idea of this. He just really likes the candy! Once again I thought "Well this isn't going to be so bad after all" WRONG! They boys found the play toys in the yard and decided that they were going to play. So another battle to get them off the toys and back in the van.

So the next couple of stops get better, as long as there are no play toys in the yard! On to Shara's house! Things went well. Linda even got a few new landscaping idea for free from Riley and Hayden! So Craig decided to put Hayden's costume on Tyler, isn't he a cutie!
Then Shara decided that she would entertain us! Craig looks really happy, doesn't he?

Well I would laugh at her too!

This picture is actually from earlier in the night when we talking Hayden into putting on his costume. Nana thought that if she put it on then Hayden would wear it. I don't think it actually worked but she does look funny! The stuff my family does for these kids!

So after we finished going to the rest the family houses and the church Trunk-or-Treat, we decided to swing by McDonald's for a fast dinner, really that is what Riley and Hayden wanted so we settled for it. We pull into the parking lot and the place is packed. I am assuming that everybody in Harriman had the same idea that we did. So 30 minutes later we are finally headed home. The boys were wore out so they pasted out not long after we got home.

Well this was our Halloween night! Hope you enjoyed!
