Baby Powder Fight!

So I was cleaning the living room tonight and I thought that the boys were being a little too quiet. Then I noticed that I smelled baby powder really strong. So I started down the hallway to check on them. Well this is what I found!

Well, all I can say is that we are raising boys!

Photo Albums are done!

Well, as I posted earlier we had the boys fall pics done my Tara at Dixie Pixel Photography! We ordered Brag book, which is more or less a little scrapbook of a collection of 30 pics of your choice. Tara sent me the proofs for our approval before they went to the lab to be printed. Of course I fell in love with them as soon as I seen them. Craig said that I was like a kid in a chocolate factory every time that Tara was send me a page to view. Well this morning I received a message from Tara about the book. She informed me that she had sent them to the lab and that I should be receiving them in about a week. She also told me that her lab LOVED the books, too. The lab ask our permission to use this book as a sample at all their conventions, etc. What I huge accomplishment for Tara. Of course I just love her work and brag on her all the time. The lab that she uses is also used by over 20,000 other photographer. YAY Tara!!!! Plus the display sample will be seen by over 50,000 people at their convention. Not to mention my precious lil boys are in it.

Once again I recommend Tara for any and all your photography needs.

Silly boys!

So everyday the boys do something that just cracks me up! Well this morning I was cleaning up and I walked thru the living room and Hayden is sitting in his rockin chair with his legs crossed, holding Daddy's coffee cup! He looks up at me and says, "Coffee Momma?" I just laughed at him because he looked like an old man would!

To add to this, the other night about 10:30 p.m., yes I said p.m., the boys (Craig included) where playing in their bedroom. I walked in, and noticed had they not only destroyed the playroom but they were playing dress up! Hayden loves to wear Bubba's cowboy boots!

and of course this is Riley's innocent face! Do you believe me?

So last night, I noticed that Riley was being too quiet. So I go thru the house looking and yelling for him. Well after no response, I knew something was going on. So I walk into his bedroom and he is standing on his dresser. So I ask him why he didn't answer me! His response was "Well Mom, I was redecorating my bedroom and was going to surprise you." Now let me remind you that he is only 3 years old. I told him, thanks but why did he want to redecorate it. He said, "It has to be cool like me, Mom and my name was wrong .....so isn't it awesome Mommy!" Now this is what he done. He is totally awesome isn't he.

My lil' chefs!

So this afternoon while Craig and I were cooking dinner, the boys decided that they need to cook as well. So they agreed upon gourmet Spongebob waffles seasoned with garlic salt, onion powder, chili powder, salt and pepper. Would anybody like to come eat dinner at the Hurley house!

Picture Day

So last Sunday we took the boys for their pictures. We met Tara, from Dixie Pixie Photography, at Cedar Hill Park in Oak Ridge. When we first arrived, Riley had fallen asleep on the way up, so he was very grumpy. Of course Hayden was ready to play. So we unload them and put their clothes on..... It took Riley a little minute to loosen up. Of course the boys went their separate ways, which made it hard to capture them together to snap a shot. Everything started going fine and then I wanted some pictures of them in their overalls in the woods, so I change them. I guess Hayden didn't want to wear his overalls because he was so hateful after that. So we proceed to the walking trail. Well Hayden and Riley didn't like the idea because they both protested! So we went back to the play yard to get them calm down. All Riley wanted to do was swing and Hayden was very fussy at this point. So we decided to politely ask these teenage girls if we could borrow the tire swing. So I climb in the tire swing, skirt and all, and hold Hayden and put Riley beside me. They loved it. So we were able to finish our session up and get some shot of them together!

Tara was so patient with the boys and worked so well with them. I am completely amazed with her work and HIGHLY recommend her to anybody, no matter the occasion. I am so amazed at all her work! I go to her website and could sit for hours just admiring her work!
